1. Forget this device: On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth, tap the "i" icon next to AirPods, and select "Forget this device" or "Forget this device settings."

2. Place in the charging case: Place the new earbud along with your old earbud into the AirPods charging case. Close the lid and wait 30 seconds.

3. Connect the power cord: Connect the charging case to the charger, close the lid, and charge for at least 30 minutes to allow the earbuds to automatically synchronize.

4. Reset by pressing and holding the button: After charging is complete, open the charging case lid. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the charging case for about 15 seconds. The reset is successful when the indicator light on the charging case flashes white.

5. Re-pair by bringing the earbuds close: Turn on your phone's Bluetooth, bring the charging case close to your iPhone, and open the lid. Follow the on-screen setup steps to reconnect the earbuds.
